The surgeon is a board certified ophthalmologist who has performed over 21,000 refractive procedures over the course of his career. He started his medical education at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. In 1979, after graduation, the doctor completed his internship with Nassau County Medical Center located in New York. His residency followed, lasting 3 years, with Mount Sinai Hospital and was completed in 1983. He was selected as one of two residents in the US to receive the prestigious fellowship of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. The doctor has also been selected as one of the Top 5 Surgeons in the US by LaserVision. An honor that was bestowed upon him twice.
