The doctor has performed over 50,000 refractive procedures in his career. He received his undergraduate degree at Nankai University in China and his medical degree at Tianjin Medical College. After completing a Ph.D. in Ocular Pharmacology, he went to the University of Louisville in Kentucky for an internship in Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, and a residency in Ophthalmology. He received his fellowship training in Louisville at the Kentucky Lions Eye Center. The doctor is an active member of the medical community, contributing a significant amount of time to professional Ophthalmology organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Association of Research in Visual Science and Ophthalmology, and the Georgia Academy of Ophthalmology.
